Beth Gallagher Diary Entry 108

December 9, 1999

Dear Diary,

            I'm kind of bummed out today. Have you ever felt like you’re just too plain for life? Of course not. You’re a diary. Well, I do. I’m not really great at anything. I’m not bad, but still. It would be nice to be great at even one thing. Even my looks are blah. I wish I were pretty like my friends, Lindsay and Janelle. I don’t think I’m ugly, but I don’t exactly knock anybody's socks off, either. Plain, plain, plain is what I am. There is one guy in our church who has been paying me a little attention, but Josh doesn't like him and keeps chasing him off. I love my big brother. Really. He’s the best. But I wish he’d let me decide if I should like a guy or not. I mean, what if Kyle is the one? Sigh... Maybe I should think on happier things for now. Like my Christmas shopping list. That should help me out of this funk.
